高校入試まで残り２、３か月という時期に入り、塾生たちの取り組みには、さらに熱が入ってきていきます。入試の問題は長文の読解が中心で、語句や文法を残り期間でどのくらい押さえられるかがポイントになります。
2022年高専入試・読解
ケーブルテレビ（cable TV）の契約（contract）について書かれた次の英文を読み、あとの問題に応えなさい。
Satoru is a high school student. In April, he is going to enter a university. It takes three hours by train from his home to the nearest station to his university.
He is going to rent an apartment. Aoba station is the nearest station to his apartment. It is between his home and his university on the same line. From Aoba station, it takes ten minutes by train to get to the nearest station to his university.
After he enters university, he wants to watch cable TV and use the Internet in his apartment. He loves watching TV, and he may need to use the Internet to write reports. Satoru's father wants him to choose a plan with a one-year contract.
Satoru went to a cable TV company and the company showed him four plans. Plan A provides music and sports channels, and 18 other channels for 2,900 yen per month. If he wants to use the Internet, he also has to pay 5,500 yen per month. Plan B provides Japanese movie channels and 39 other channels for 3,800 yen per month, or it costs 9,100 yen for both the TV channels and the Internet. The company also showed him Plan C, and it offers 80 channels. American TV channels are provided only in Plan C. It costs 6,900 yen per month, but if he also uses the Internet, he will pay 10,900 yen per month in total. Plans A, B, and C only need a one-year contract. Plan D offers 60 channels and costs 4,700 yen per month, but it needs a three-years contract. Satoru is thinking about which plan he should choose.
In May, Satoru's family is going to visit his apartment by train. His father already bought the train tickets. They will have a good time with Satoru.
