　当ブログでは、授業のポイント解説をしています。

　５月になりました。塾生たちは、今月の英語検定に向けた対策学習を行っています。このページでは、準２級の一次試験で押さえておくべき文法について解説しています。出題範囲は高校英語の学習内容で、２級で扱われる文法も同じ内容になります。

過去完了

完了「～してしまった」

I had finished my homework when Mother came home.

He got a good score because he had studied very hard.

経験「～したことがあった」

I had been to Canada before I entered college.

She had never seen snow until she moved to Hokkaido.

継続・進行「ずっと～していた」

They had known each other when they got married.

When I arrived home, my mother had been cooking.

大過去（さらに前の過去）

He lost the watch which I had given him.

I heard that she had gotten married for three years.

先に起きた古いほうの内容を、「過去完了」で表す。

She sold the book that she had bought three months before.

新しい内容→過去　　　　　　古い内容→過去完了

仮定法過去完了

If I had got up early, I wouldn't have missed the bus.

If he had studied harder, he might have passed the exam.

あり得なかったことを述べるとき

・if 節→ 過去完了

・if 節でない→ 過去助動詞＋現在完了

You could have been on time if you had caught the bus.

　過去助動詞＋現在完了　　　　　　　　過去完了

未来完了

完了「～してしまっているだろう」

When you arrive, we will have completed all preparations.

I won’t have done my work by the time you arrive.

経験「～したことになるだろう」

I'll have driven for 5 hours by the time we get home.

I'll have been to Hawaii three times if I go there again.

継続・進行「～していることになるだろう」

We'll have been married for 5 years this summer.

I'll have been studying English for 5 years by next month.

助動詞＋完了

推量

He may have come here.

She must have come here.

No one can have come here.

He might(could) have come here.

may 完了：～したかもしれない

must 完了：～したにちがいない

can't 完了：～したはずがない

might(could) 完了：ひょっとしたら～かもしれない（弱い推量）

後悔・非難

I should have saved money.

I shouldn't have wasted my money.

should 完了：～すべきだった（実際はしていない）

shouldn't 完了：～すべきではなかった（実際してしまった）

助動詞

would / might

We would go to the river.

You might(could) be wrong.

would：よく～したものだ

might：～かもしれない（mayより可能性低い）

慣用表現

You had better study harder.

You ought to read more books.

I can't help crying when I watch the movie.

You can't be too careful.

I cannot thank you too much.

had better 原形：～したほうがよい（忠告）

ought to 原形：～すべき（=should）

can't help ~ing：～せずにはいられない

cannot・・too ~：いくら・・しても～しすぎることはない

受動態

助動詞

The book must be returned soon.

The door must not be opened.

The car will be repaired tomorrow.

A beautiful view can be seen from here.

must 受動態：～されなければならない

must not 受動態：～されてはいけない

will 受動態：～されるだろう

can/may 受動態：～られる、～されるかもしれない

進行形

The room is being cleaned now.

完了形

The book has been read by many people.

前置詞（by以外）

I was disappointed with the results.

I am satisfied with the result.

She is known as a famous singer.

～として知られている

The singer is known for her beautiful voice.

～の理由で知られている

The singer is known to people around the world.

～（人）に知られている

I was surprised at the news.

I was surprised by them.

不定詞

結果

He grew up to be a doctor.

成長して医者になった

He lived to be ninety.

90歳まで生きた

She did her best, only to fail.

ベストを尽くした。結果失敗した。

She left there, never to return.

そこを離れた。二度と戻らなかった。

be to ~（予定・未来）

The train is to arrive at six.

We are to meet here.

seem to ~ / appear to ~

He seems to like this song.

She appeared to be happy.

～らしい、～のようだ

for A to~ / of A to ~（意味上の主語）

Kyoto is a good place for foreign tourists to visit.

外国人が訪れるのに

It was careless of you to make such a mistake.

あなたがそんな間違いをするとは

進行

He appears to be studying in his room.

He apppears to have been studying.

受動態

The event is to be held next week.

This problem has to be solved.

not to ~ / never to~ / in order not to~

not to ~：～しないように

never to ~：決して～しないように

in order not to ~：～しないように・・する

too ... to ~

知覚動詞（原形不定詞）

I saw him enter the shop.

I heard someone call me.

知覚動詞

see / hear / notice / feel / look at / watch / listen to

使役動詞（原形不定詞）

I will make him do the work.

We had her take our picture.

My mother didn’t let me go out.

Let’s go out for lunch.

let's=let us ~

make：無理に～させる

have：～してもらう

let：自由に～させる

help A 原形不定詞

I helped him do the work.

=I helped him to do ~

Aが～するのを助ける、～するのに役立つ

独立不定詞

to tell the truth　実を言うと

動名詞は「状態」、to不定詞は「動作」

慣用表現

feel like ~ing　～したい気分

forward to のあとは名詞または動名詞

分詞

動詞＋目的語＋現在分詞（~ing）

A（目的語）が～しているのを...

代名詞の場合、Aは目的格

動詞＋目的語＋過去分詞

I heard my name called.

I had my house painted.

A（目的語）が～されるのを...

動詞＋目的語＋分詞で使うことができる動詞

see / hear / feel などの知覚動詞

have / get などの使役動詞

keep / leave / find

分詞構文

時（～するとき）

Eating in the restaurant, I met my friend.

理由（～なので）

Being tired, I went to bed early.

= Tired, I went to bed early.

Not having cash, I used my credit card.

Written in Japanese, this book is easy to understand.

付帯（～しながら）

I usually study listening to music.

I am studying now, listening to music.

実現不可能の「if」（ありえない）

「if」節：過去形

「if」節以外：助動詞の過去形

「if」節のbe動詞は"were"（単数も）

If it were sunny today, we would play tennis.

今日晴れなら、私たちはテニスをしたのに。

If I were a bird, I could fly in the sky.

鳥だったら、空を飛べるのに。

I wish 主語＋助動詞の過去形

I wish you would help me.

あなたが助けてくれるといいのに。

I wish I could go with you.

あなたと行けたらいいのに。

I wish 主語＋ were（単数も）

I wish I were a bird.

鳥になれたらいいのに。

I wish you were here.

あなたがここにいたらいいのに。

関係代名詞

非制限用法

He has a friend, who lives in Canada.

彼には友達がいて、その友達はカナダに住んでいる。

→その友達のことだけ

※制限用法

He has a friend who lives in Canada.

カナダに住んでいる友達がいる

→その友達以外にもいる可能性

所有格

I met an Canadian girl whose name is Olivia.

I saw a dog whose hair was white.

what（こと、もの）

This is what I’ve been looking for.

I don’t know what he said.

=I don't know the thing that he said.

関係副詞

when

He remembered the day when they first met.

where

I visited the town where she was born.

why（理由）

I know the reason why she was absent.

= I know why she was absent.

"the reason"を省略できる

how（方法）

This is how I learned English.

=This is the way I learned English.

=This is the way in which I learned English.

複合関係詞

whoever

強調構文

It was Jim that saw Amy at the shop.
